Our aim and purpose
The Israeli Water-Rescue Breeds Club is a non-profit organization (a.r.580710259)
founded on 25/10/2020 hosting the Newfoundland and ECT-Landseer dog breeds.
Our purpose , as defined in our constitution,
is to cherish and promote correct and healthy breeding of our pedigree dogs
according to the rules and guidelines of the Israeli Kennelclub.
Thus by tutoring and guiding breeders ,by holding lectures and seminars on breeding
and health issues, on grooming , handling and waterwork issues ,
and by social get-togethers with our dogs.
In the future ,when we will be accepted as members of the IKC , we shall also hold dog-shows.
As to this moment, we are not members of the Israeli Kennelclub yet ,
because according to the IKC constitution , each breed may be presented by one breedclub only ,
and the separation of the Newfoundland and Landseer breeds is still in
process and awaiting a juridal decision. To make it clear to dog-owners of our breeds that
although we breed according to the IKC and the ISBNclub breeding regulations ,
as for today we have NO authority in issues of pedigree papers or any permits or validations for the IKC.
At this stage we are a social organization only, for owners of Newfoundlands and Landseers registered
in the Israeli Studbook , who want to join us. We aim to be accepted in the near future
as members of the IKC and then will be able to provide the cynological services as do
other registered breedclubs. We state that the separation of the Newfoundland and Landseer breeds from the
ISBNclub will not in any way interfere or disturb the continuence and function of the ISBNclub which shall
continue to represent the Saint Bernard and Leonberger breeds without interruption.
